Class of 2028

Bari LeBari | Los Angeles, CA
Hi, my name is Bari LeBari. I was born in Houston Texas, but I now live in Los Angeles, California. I am a second-year interested in studying 6-4 (computer science and artificial intelligence) and 15-2 (business analytics). I am interested in sports and music. While I am not on any teams at MIT, I still follow football, basketball, and soccer heavily as I played all 3 in middle and high school. I also love music from many different genres such as rap, R&B, reggaeton and many more. I am extremely excited to embark on my journey at MIT and gain knowledge and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Chelton Forbes | Queens, NY
Wagwan! My name’s Chelton Forbes, and I’m from Queens, New York. I’m thinking of majoring in computer science or mechanical engineering (or maybe both), but I hope to explore as many fields as possible and see where MIT takes me.
As a lover of music, I enjoy listening to new genres or artists in my free time, and will almost always have music playing in the background of whatever I’m doing. I’m always looking for new sounds and will never turn down a recommendation. I like gaming way more than most sports but I do dabble in volleyball. I’m never against trying new things and I can’t wait to do so throughout my time here.

Richard Oti | Virginia
Hey everyone! My name’s Richard Oti and I’m a Ghanaian American from Virginia currently planning to major in course 6-14 (data science, computer science, and economics). I’m a huge design, photography, and marketing fanatic as well as a lover of systems and computer automation. When I’m not working on school work or projects I’m most likely either exploring photography, editing pictures, learning about vertical farming systems, exploring design, or hanging out with friends.

Rakeem McFarlane | Carriacou, Grenada
My name is Rakeem McFarlane, and I’m from Carriacou, Grenada. I am thinking about majoring in Aerospace Engineering and minoring in Computer Science. I’m especially interested in automated flight systems for search and rescue, as well as clean energy solutions for aviation. Outside of academics, I love working on hands-on engineering projects, playing guitar, and taking photos. I joined CC to be part of a community of individuals from backgrounds similar to mine who strive for excellence. I appreciate being surrounded by people who uplift and challenge each other to grow, and I’m looking forward to learning from my brothers as we push each other to become better every day.

Ehinome Ehikhametalor | St. Andrew, Jamaica
My name is Ehinome Ehikhametalor, and I’m from St. Andrew, Jamaica. I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Control, Instrumentation, and Robotics, while minoring in Biomedical Engineering. I have a strong interest in sports (especially basketball and athletics) as well as photography and chess. I also enjoy listening to music across various genres, including rap, reggae, gospel, soft rock and afrobeats, and I play a few instruments, such as the piano and drums (with hopes of learning more soon). I joined Chocolate City to be part of a strong community of driven men who uplift and motivate each other to grow in all aspects of life.

Ronaldo Lee | Portmore, Jamaica
Hey, my name is Ronaldo Lee from Jamaica. I plan to major in Material Science with a minor in Energy Studies. My academic focus is on energy, particularly solar cells and batteries, and I’m passionate about making energy more accessible for underdeveloped countries while advancing clean energy solutions. I’m always down to chat about clean energy! Outside of academics, I enjoy rock climbing, watching anime, and listening to music. I joined Chocolate City because I believe in the Jamaican proverb, “Show mi yuh company and I’ll tell you who you are.” I wanted to be surrounded by successful men who inspire me. In the brothers of Chocolate City, I see individuals with traits and values that motivate me to strive for excellence every day.
